Church of the Apostles
Radical Commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ and to Each Other: To His Worship, His Word, and His Mission.
Apostles
From the earliest days
Christians met together
For the primary reason
Of meeting with the Lord
Who can explain them?
When they sing, it comes from their heart
When they pray, they talk to Him
When the preacher speaks from the Bible
It's as if the Lord is speaking to them now
They will tell you openly
It's because He met them first
With humility, in reverence, they say
They know Him. And they know
Jesus is alive. Risen from the dead, Lord of all
And they have met with Him
In repentance and with tears, they know
He has saved them from their sin
And made them new
Filling them with the Holy Spirit
You can see it on their faces
In how they meet and talk to each other
You can feel it too, stirring in your heart
The presence of the Lord is here, with them
These are His followers, His disciples
Their lives have been changed by Him
And because of it, they go and tell others
Like you and me
That we might know this Jesus
Who can change us too
That's why they are called Apostles
They are sent by the Lord on a mission
To tell everyone what Jesus has done
That we might believe and in believing
Be saved forever
That we too might become His followers
Filled with the Holy Spirit, changed from the inside
And called with the same calling - Apostles!
Telling people about Jesus, and then bringing them
To a place where Christians meet together
For the primary reason of meeting with the Lord
And singing His praises for all eternity

We invite all who hunger and thirst for a closer relationship with the Living God to join us in worship this Sunday morning:
- To know the Lord Jesus Christ as deeply as possible
- To preach Him as fully and widely as possible
- To love Him by loving others as passionately as possible
- All for the Glory of God and in the power of the Holy Spirit
We believe...
- Salvation is found in Jesus Christ alone, for He is the only begotten Son of the Living God.
- The Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments in their entirety is God's Word, and is the standard by which we are to order our lives, express our faith and function as a community.
- That we, as part of Christ's body, His Church, are committed to worship in Word and Sacrament through the power of the Holy Spirit and within the breadth of our Anglican Tradition.
- Nothing of significance happens in God's Kingdom in the absence of prayer. Therefore, we seek to make prayer a priority asking the Lord to lead, restore, heal and transform our lives, our churches, our communities and the world.

Or, if you prefer paper, a booklet of the entire program is available for purchase after the service on Sundays or contact the church office to obtain a copy. They are $3.00 each.
We pray that these tools will be used so that all of us might be in His Word daily!

These informal gatherings happen throughout the year and everyone is invited. It follows the New Testament church model where small groups of people gathered in homes to share a meal and build their relationships through fellowship in Christ. For all of you already in groups, your hosts will be contacting you about the next supper.
