The change in your pocket can make a difference in Bigogwe!
Do you have:
- loose change in your office desk draw?
- foriegn bills and coins left over from trips overseas?
- a small fortune under the cushions of your couch?
- stray coins in the bottom of your purse?
- a year's worth of bottles and cans in the basement waiting to be taken to recycle?
- overflowing change in the ash tray and cup holders of your car?
- years of change collected in your nightstand?
- a collection of coins fished out of the dryer lint trap?
Let's have a loose change round-up and help supply clean water to the children of Bigogwe!
Lack of clean water is the #1 cause of health problems in Bigogwe, but we can do something about it.
We will have a very noisy collection at church on February 21 with 100% of the proceeds going to the Bigogwe Water Harvesting System project to be installed by the Rwanda Missions team next summer. You can read all about it at http://aaronblackwell.wordpress.com.
(p.s. Paper makes noise too!)
Mark 12:41-44 41 Then
he
sat down opposite the offering box,
and watched the crowd putting coins into it. Many rich people were throwing in large amounts.
42 And a poor widow came and put in two small copper coins,
worth less than a penny.
43 He called his disciples and said to them, “I tell you the truth,
this poor widow has put more into the offering box
than all the others.
44 For they all gave out of their wealth.
But she, out of her poverty, put in what she had to live on, everything she had.”
